Threshold

Category: Apparel

We are all balloons inflated by life, accumulating pressure within its currents. The Threshold is the lifeline of the balloon, bearing the weight of expectation and anxiety. When pressure overloads, that taut, fragile line of defense suddenly snaps. The skin once brimming with hope instantly shatters into scattered fragments littering the ground. Learning to "release air" at the right moment allows this vessel of life to expand gracefully and dance gracefully through life's storms. This collection draws inspiration from physical balloon experiments, exploring infinite possibilities of form through squeezing, spinning, and inflating. Abstracted collage techniques transform the tension of balloon expansion into garment silhouettes. The filling and sculpting of leather create voluminous, three-dimensional fullness, while pleating and seam detailing balance power and softness. The color palette, featuring the highly impactful Klein Blue colliding with red and black, interprets a pioneering attitude of self-expression.The theme of our current design is named Threshold. This collection uses leather as its medium. Employing the design language of balloon compression, exaggerated shoulders and sleeves, and contradictory tension-release structures, it visualizes societal pressures, creating garments that possess both aesthetic depth and cultural resonance. Through the language of clothing design, it reveals the wearer's state and emotions under societal pressures. Centered on pressure and repair, it conveys the resilient spirit and power of self-renewal.
