Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Arts

The Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Art (MTSIFA). This is the oldest and most celebrated Art School in East Africa. Founded in 1937 by Mrs. Margaret Trowell, after whom it is named, MTSIFA has three departments: Fine Art (DFA); Industrial Arts and Applied Design(DIAAD); and Visual Communication Design and Multimedia(DVCDM). It is a close-knit community of faculty, students, and professionals that serves largely as an arts conservatory and center of excellence in the arts for the East African region.
