Design Philosophy Inspired by the complexity of structural scaffolds and the interplay of light on faceted surfaces, the look utilizes a high-contrast palette of Matte Black and Metallic Bronze. The core of the design lies in its "Faceted Geometry"—a series of laser-cut metallic leather panels integrated with transparent technical mesh. These elements create a visual paradox: a garment that feels structurally impenetrable yet remains breathable and light through its transparency. Title of the Work: The Obsidian Phoenix Narrative Concept "The Obsidian Phoenix" is an exploration of resilience and rebirth through the inherent duality of leather. The piece personifies the exact moment when ember transmutes into form, merging Victorian Gothic aesthetics with organic futurism. The design is not merely a garment, but an armor of sovereignty that celebrates the metamorphosis of the female figure into a mythical entity of unshakeable power. Design Description The ensemble features a sculptural corset crafted from vegetable-tanned bovine leather, three-dimensionally molded to merge seamlessly with human anatomy. The puffed sleeves, made from ultra-fine lambskin (pellica), defy the material’s perceived weight, creating a dramatic and ethereal volume. The focal point lies in the complex engineering of the back: a high-relief structure simulating a phoenix’s wings, where each individual "feather" has been laser-cut and hand-burnished. The asymmetrical cascading skirt reveals a burgundy silk lining, symbolizing the latent fire beneath the ebony skin, while chainmail details and 18k gold-plated hardware elevate the piece to the status of wearable fine jewelry. 1.
