The Tool Bag

Category: Accessories

Competitions: International

The Tool Bag is the fashion-conscious cousin of the tool bags found at hardware stores. Not only visually, but The Tool Bag is also designed to maximize its utility counting with several external and internal pockets. The design takes into consideration versatility as it allows the user several customization and modularity elements. Utilizing leather as the main material, this design aims to reduce the overall consumption in the Fashion Industry. While soft to the touch, leather is durable and withstands the passing of time, with that in mind the modular design of this bag quickly allows for it to turn into a clutch or wrist bag perfect for an evening event and turning the body into a basket perfect for a casual event. Similarly, the design of the handle is fully modular making it easy to add a crossbody strap or easily turn the handle into a shoulder strap. The Tool Bag maximizes the utility and lifespan of the average handbag, allowing for a long-lasting chic accessory for generations to come.

Work Wear Vest

Category: Apparel

Competitions: International

The Work Wear vest looks at building equipment and uniforms to inform a highly functional and customizable 3-IN-1 design. This vest counts two-dimensional pockets and 6 chrome d-rings that maximize the functionality of a fashionable vest. Removable pouches can be attached to the vest for added functionality and a more dramatic silhouette, however, the removable belt allows the use of pouches as belt bags separately from the vest. The future of sustainability lies in turning to reliable materials, like leather, and carefully designing the material's properties (resistance, durability, adaptability) to maximize the lifespan of a product, reinsured by engaging the user, while allowing them to customize the item to their needs. The versatility of the design allows for ease of styling, in turn allowing the user to maximize their engagement with their garment, therefore extending the lifespan of this vest, which due to the qualities of leather should be multigenerational.
