"Gauchos de ciudad"- Simon Gimenez Chiodi - International competition 2024.

Argentina lives with constant economic and social obstacles to professional development, which is why we are used to doing a lot with little. These city gauchos represent many Argentines living and walking the streets of Buenos Aires, fighting for what is theirs in the search to improve and export our culture. In the design I sought to mix aspects of the gauchos, who are very important icons in our culture related to the strong values ​​of their beliefs, the love for their lands and the hard work of the fields no matter what happens. The mix of typologies occurred between the PONCHO and the jacket used by the Buenos Aires citizen who works in the city center. This design seeks to show that the values ​​and conviction of the gauchos live in all Argentines, even those who live in the city, since no matter what happens, we are going to work hard to put bread on the table and to always defend our land. Design to be made with scraps, from other colecctions, of cowhide donated by the Argentine design brand Kostüme.
