This handbag is a design inspired by the natural landscape of Tam Coc – Bich Dong in Ninh Bình. Drawing from the imagery of limestone mountains, winding rivers, and vast rice fields, the piece reinterprets Vietnam’s scenery through a simplified and contemporary visual language. The clutch silhouette is compact yet structured, reflecting the solidity of mountains while maintaining the fluid softness of water. Crafted from natural cow leather, the bag incorporates various handmade techniques such as hand stitching, leather dyeing, and patchwork construction to create tonal variations reminiscent of the landscape. The surface is further developed using leather embossing to form subtle raised textures, evoking the layered terrain like a relief. These elements not only enhance the visual depth but also highlight the value of craftsmanship and material sensitivity. Through this design, I aim to express my appreciation for Vietnam’s natural beauty and bring local inspirations into a contemporary context. The bag is not merely a fashion accessory but a narrative object, where nature becomes a source of creative expression. At the same time, the use of genuine leather as a durable and long lasting material reflects a mindful approach to sustainability, aligning with the spirit of Real Leather Stay Different.
