Wear and tear isn't a sign of wear; it's a testament to the wearer's journey. Recyclable leather is taken apart, cut, and woven back together—the cracks and scratches are left unseen. Behind each piece of old leather lies a story of daily life: perhaps the whitened cuffs from cycling, or the dark patina on the frequently held handle. These marks aren't flaws, but rather the passage of time. During the reweaving process, the threads are pulled taut, the leather pieces are pressed together, and these old companions take on a new shape. You don't need to know who it belonged to before; just touching it, the warm, solid feel tells you: it can withstand many more uses.
