China Mainland Student Design Competition

2024

We are delighted for the fourth year to host the China Mainland Real Leather. Stay Different. Student Design Competition 2024, a search for the best of China Mainland’s new designers and for those who want to promote slow style and a more sustainable future for fashion both in China and around the world.

This year has been nothing short of previous competitions, with hundreds of incredible submissions. The Taiwan Region 2024 panel of judges,  GUO FeiFei, Li Shanglun and Lin Xu after a round of preliminary judging have selected this years shortlist who are now preparing their physical product for final submission:

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applications are open to students currently studying at a higher education institution in China or who have graduated in the past year. Open to all disciplines.

Applicants must be 18 years old or older.

Entries to be submitted in Mandarin, with a small English description required.

No application fee.

HOW TO APPLY

Create a profile and upload your entry now via the new competition platform, you can find a ‘how-to’ guide here.

Please note: All entries will automatically be entered into the Real Leather. Stay Different International Student Design Competition, which will require you to provide an English description for your entry, and entrants will receive an invitation to set up a profile on Arts Thread.

 

JUDGING PROCESS

The Competition will be judged by a panel comprised of representatives chosen by Real Leather. Stay Different. The Panel will select the category winners and Overall Winner. There will also be a People’s Choice award, selected by public vote, that closes July 8, 2024. All shortlisted finalists will be notified via email by July 31, 2024, winners will be selected at the Awards ceremony on September 3, 2024.
